San Clemente Sustainability Solutions
The City of San Clemente partnered with Kids Around The World in using sustainability solutions to repurpose the old equipment from Marblehead Park.
Kids Around the World donates the used equipment to a community in need.
Kids Around the World is a local non-profit group that repurposes playground equipment that has met its useful life and places it for use in other countries in need.
By direction of the San Clemente City Council and in conjunction with Kids Around the World of San Clemente, the Marblehead playground equipment for ages 2-12 will be donated to the community of San Clemente, Chile.
Kids Around the World volunteers, Tot Lot Pros, and Ed Stewart and Associates dismantled the previous equipment in April 2016.
Kids Around the World will refurbish the equipment and is interested in partnering with San Clemente businesses, individuals, service groups, and churches to make this project a reality.
