Surfrider and Vissla Upcycle Contest Event is Friday October 28 2016.
This is a San Clemente Free Family Friendly Event.
The 2nd annual Upcycle Contest is from 6:00pm to 10:00pm at Interval Gallery in San Clemente California.
The Interval Gallery is located at 412 N El Camino Real.
The Upcycle Contest Event will be honoring the finalists and choosing a winner.
Music, food, drink, creativity and good times will be provided.
Vissla has partnered up with their friends at the Surfrider Foundation to encourage the community to take something that might be considered waste and create something that can be used in the ocean.
Participants took an old or found object and made it into a functional wave riding craft (i.e. surfboards, handplanes, paipos, fins, alaias, skim boards, boats, etc.)
All contestants made either a video or submitted photos via Instagram with the #CreatorsContest.
All entries were judged on innovation, functionality, creativity, design and aesthetics.
