The January 2017 California Storms damaged Ortega Highway between San Juan Capistrano and Lake Elsinore.
The California Department of Transportation has closed Ortega Highway until repairs can be made.
Caltrans closed Ortega Highway 3.8 Miles East of San Juan Capistrano on Wednesday January 25 2017.
The Closure extends to Grande Avenue in Lake Elsinore.
Caldrons will be fixing a sinkhole on Ortega Highway.
Motorists are advised to use an alternate route.
An Alternate route from San Juan Capistrano is to take Highway 5 North to 55 North to 91 East to 15 South.
You could also take the toll road by taking Highway 5 North to 241 North to 91 East to 15 South.
Caldrons is allowing Residents with proper identification passage into the area.
