The City of Laguna Beach is partnering with the National Arts Marketing Project to host a free marketing workshop for artists.
Guest speaker J Reese is the Associate Media Director for NIKE at Razorfish.
He will cover some of the most commonly utilized tactics for marketing and audience engagement from top industries and businesses.
The Artist’s Post-Digital Playbook for Marketing and Engagement Workshop is on Thursday March 23 2017 at 10:00am to 3:00pm.
The purpose of the workshop is for artists to have a sustainable future by learning how to create lasting connections with the modern consumer.
First the class will investigate the media consumption habits of today’s arts patrons.
Next the class will use these insights to inform a strategic approach to marketing communications with a focus on audience growth.
The workshop will also cover principles of personal branding, strategic positioning, and consumer retention management.
After completing this workshop participating artists will be able to:
Identify the most appropriate traditional and digital marketing mediums which align to their practice
Leverage all available and appropriate marketing tactics using the most effective strategies
Create a sustainable plan for managing the selected marketing communications methods
