The San Clemente Design Review Committee meets at the San Clemente Community Development Department.
The San Clemente Community Development Department is located at 910 Calle Negocio Suite 100 in San Clemente California.
The purpose of this Subcommittee is to provide direction, insight, concerns and options to the applicant on how the project can best comply with the City’s Design Guidelines and/or City Policies.
The Subcommittee is not an approving body.
They make recommendations to the Planning Commission and Zoning Administrator regarding a project’s compliance with City Design Guidelines.
Proposed Agenda Items Include:
Rancho San Clemente Tennis Club/Life Time Fitness
A request to demolish an existing 11,000 square-foot clubhouse building and to construct a new 44,000 square-foot clubhouse building at 111 Avenida La Montana in the Rancho San Clemente Specific Plan area.
This includes demolition of non- contributing portions of the building (previously occupied by an Orange Julius) and replacing it with a new structure that will contain the bathrooms for the performing arts and event center.
Rehabilitation and adaptive reuse of the 5,200 square foot historic bowling alley with a 1,043 square foot addition into a culinary specialty restaurant structure, a new basement area, and a 3,400 square foot outdoor courtyard eating area.
Conditional Use Permit for 82 parking waivers with a preservation agreement, indoor live entertainment permit with amplified sound, and the onsite sale and consumption of a full range of alcohol.
