The City of San Clemente San Luis Rey Park Ribbon Cutting is Wednesday March 29 2017 at 3:00pm.
The Ribbon Cutting is to celebrate the newly replaced San Luis Rey Park playground equipment.
This is a San Clemente Free Family Friendly Event.
San Luis Rey Park is located at 109 Avenida San Luis Rey.
The new equipment is Universally Accessible Challenging Play Equipment with an American with Disabilities Act (ADA) path of travel in the park.
The new equipment will enhance the play experience for all children.
The ribbon cutting celebration will include activities provided by Fun on the Run Mobile Recreation.
The approved $175,000 project, was funded by Community Development Block Grant funds.
The retired playground equipment was donated to the non-profit organization Kids Around The World (KATW)
KATW is a local non-profit group that repurposes playground equipment that has met its useful life and donates it to other countries in need.
