The City of Laguna Beach Open For Construction Workshop is Friday May 19 2017.
The Workshop is from 11:30am to 1:00pm at The Skyloft.
The Open for Construction Workshop will focus on California Building Retrofits:
Vulnerable Building Types and Recommended Solutions.
Contractors, architects, real estate professionals, and residents are invited to attend.
Event Description:
“Building Retrofits”-Learn about vulnerable building types, including houses, and recommended solutions.
Learn how to protect your building from earthquakes through retrofitting.
Discussion on potential retrofit schemes and product solutions to help get you started on improving your building’s earthquake performance.
Led by Annie Kao, P.E., senior field engineer for Simpson Strong-Tie.
Ms. Kao is a registered professional engineer with a B.S. from Harvey Mudd College and an M.S. from UC Berkeley.
The Skyloft is located at 422 South Coast Highway in Laguna Beach California.
$13.00 includes workshop and lunch.
