The Dana Point Ocean Institute Summer Thursdays Family Science Nights is Thursday June 22 2017.
The Ocean Institute Summer Family Science Nights are on select Thursdays through the Summer of 2017!
Spend a summer evening in the Ocean Institute Samueli Conference Center getting “up close and personal” with local scientists.
Each experience will include a presentation by a special guest speaker with alternate activities for kids.
A different topic will be covered on select Thursdays from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
Become an entomologist-in-training with naturalists from the Environmental Nature Center.
Learn more about the bugs that might make you go “ugh!” during this hands-on event.
Everybody poops and scientists use droppings, or “scat,” to learn about the animals they study. From migration patterns to health and diet, poop tells the story of the organism’s life.
Scientists even use fossilized dinosaur poop (coprolite) to tell them about the live of prehistoric animals. In this gross (but not too gross) presentation, scientists of all ages will get to become dropping detectives and learn how to unlock the secrets of dung!
$35.00/Family-4-Pack ($33.00/Member Family-4-Pack)
The Ocean Institute is located in Dana Point Harbor at 24200 Dana Point Harbor Drive.
