The Wednesday July 12 2017 meeting begins at 9:00am at California State University Monterey Bay Theatre.
California State University Monterey Bay is located at 5108 Fourth Avenue in Marina California.

Public comments will be heard at 9:00am for items not on the agenda, for no more than 30 minutes.
For those unable to attend the early comment period, there may be additional comment time available later in the day.

Proposed Discussion Items Include:
The City of Pacific Grove application to reconstruct 31’ x 5’ section of existing 150-ft.-long seawall, and install public access overlook improvements, along bluff adjacent to section of Monterey Bay Coastal Recreation Trail located downcoast of Lovers Point Park in Pacific Grove, Monterey County.
California Department of Parks & Recreation application to construct and operate new campground facility including: 45 full hook-up RV sites, 40 tent sites, 10 hike-/bike-in sites, 2 campground host sites, 4 restroom buildings, multi-use building, campfire center, entrance station, 3 operations and security modular structures, overflow parking, storage yard, maintenance station, beach access trail, on and off-site utilities, native dune restoration, and related development on former Fort Ord property located seaward of Highway One between the cities of Marina and Sand City/Seaside, Monterey County.

Wednesday July 12 2017 1:00pm-2:45pm: California Coastal Commission Field Trip to Fort Ord Dunes State Park
Field Trip tour of the proposed Fort Ord Dunes State Park campground, and to view the site of the proposed Collection Resort project in Sand City. The public is invited to attend by following the Commission vehicles in their own private vehicles and joining the Commission at several designated stops.

California Coastal Commission Mission
The mission of the California Coastal Commission is to protect, conserve, restore, and enhance environmental and human-based resources of the California coast and ocean for environmentally sustainable and prudent use by current and future generations.
The Commission holds monthly public meetings of three to five days in length in different locations throughout the state.
The Commission meetings provide an opportunity for the Coastal Commissioners to take public testimony and to make permit, planning, and other policy decisions.
Prior to each meeting, Commission staff collects and analyzes information pertinent to meeting agenda items and prepares written staff reports with recommendations for Commission action.
