The Laguna Beach Garden Club Talk with Bo Glover from the Environment Nature Center Friday September 1 2017
Special Presentation Friday September 1 2017 at 10:00am:
Laguna Beach Garden Club Talk with Bo Glover
Learn more about the Environment Nature Center with Director Bo Glover.
The five-acre Nature Center is a fascinating combination of 15 native plant communities, wildlife habitats, and walking trails.
Bo will speak about the center’s amazing history – how it grew from a dumping ground to the site of the first platinum LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) green building in Orange County.
He will also speak about the programs that they have there at the Center, and about the exciting new plans for a new Nature Preschool, where – very soon – local children will spend their days playing and learning while surrounded by and exploring nature.
The Laguna Beach Garden Club meets at Tankersley Fellowship Hall of Laguna Presbyterian Church.
The church is located at 415 Forest Avenue.
The hall is on Second Street midway between Forest Avenue and Mermaid Street.
The entrance to the hall is across the courtyard from the sanctuary.
If you are thinking about joining, please join them today at their meeting!
The Laguna Beach Garden Club was founded over 80 years.
The Laguna Beach Garden Club supports a wide variety of projects.
Focus is on education in gardening, horticulture, landscape and floral design, conservation, ecology, and bird life.
