Sherman Gardens in Corona del Mar hosts California Wildfires Photography Presentation Thursday November 2 2017 at 7:00pm.
This is a Corona del Mar Free Family Friendly Event.
Photographer Stuart Palley presents his documentary project, Terra Flamma: Wildfires at Night, focused on photographing California’s wildfires at night via long exposures.
Palley has been to almost 75 fires in 4 years, trained as a wildland firefighter, and traveled up and down the state documenting the drought and climate issues affecting the region.
He will present his project along with new images from 2017’s fire season, and will discuss his upcoming photography book on the project and the state of wildfire in the Southwestern US.
Palley is a Southern California native with a background in photojournalism.
