The Dana Point Ocean Institute Tidepool Hike is Saturday December 16 2017.
This is a Dana Point Family Friendly Event.

Join the Ocean Institute for a tidepool hike led by one of their expert naturalists at 1:00pm.

The hike will take you into the rocky Marine Conservation Area located directly behind the Ocean Institute.

Families can explore the area and search for snails, crabs, sea stars, and other animals that make the tidepools their home.

The winter months are the best time to explore these magical marine ecosystems!

Ocean Institute Tidepool Walk Schedule

**Join in at 8:30 am on January 2 2018 to meet an OI educator to do a tide walk and talk.
Learn about king tides, taking scientifically meaningful photos, and why king tides are particularly helpful in research related to sea level rise.

Ocean Institute Tidepool Hikes Tickets are $10.00 and are available online at The Ocean Institute

*Includes admission to the Ocean Institute the day of your tour.
Free member admission is not applicable for Tidepool Hikes.

Please sign-up in advance as space is limited.

Walk-ins will only be allowed when space is available.

Dress: Closed-toed Closed-heeled sturdy shoes are required.
It is also recommended to apply sunscreen, to dress in light layers and to bring plenty of water.

The Dana Point Ocean Institute is located at 24200 Dana Point Harbor Drive in Dana Point Harbor.
There is free timed parking in Dana Point Harbor.
