Orange County Tsunami Alert Cancelled Tuesday January 23 2018

Tsunami Alert California Janaury 23 2018

The National Weather Service issued at Tsunami Alert for the Western Coastal areas of the United States after a 7.9 Magnitude Earthquake hit near Kodiak Alaska at 1:35am (PST).
At 2:00am (PST) the National Weather Service determined that the Alaska Earthquake was a non threat and the National Weather Service cancelled the Tsunami Alert at 4:24am for the Southern California area.

The National Weather Service advises that although the threat of the tsunami has dissipated there may be small sea level changes.
