This is your one hour “tomato insurance” class!
Tomatomania!, owner and tomato expert, Scott Daigre, highlights the basic steps from watering and fertilizing strategies to the various types of tomatoes you can choose to plant in your garden. He will also explain how to grow tomatoes in containers for small patio spaces.
You will discover that growing America’s favorite garden fruit is not only fun and easy, but also the best way to provide healthy food for you and your family.
Sunday March 4 2018 9:00am to 10:00am: Grow Your Own
Expert horticulturist, David Rizzo, will discuss everything edible, including vegetables, herbs, fruits, berries and more. Emphasis this month will be on planting appropriate cool season vegetables and herbs, dormant disease control and pruning of deciduous fruit trees, care of citrus trees, and pruning of berries and grapes.
David will lead a lively and interactive discussion about what, where and when to plant, prune, feed and harvest.
Bring your questions as well as your own tips and tricks, as audience participation is encouraged.
