
The Dana Point Ocean Institute is offering special events during the Dana Point Festival of the Whales on Sunday March 11 2018.
8:30am to 10:00am: Whale Watching Cruise
Join the Ocean Institute’s marine educators in exploring the ocean from top to bottom, while searching for some of the world’s largest and smallest creatures during a 2.5-hour long whale watching program.
10:00am to 3:00pm: Migration Celebration
Join the Ocean Institute and celebrate the Gray Whale migration from Baja California to Alaska. Experience the migration as the whales would as you journey through labs and explore their living collection.
Enjoy hands-on activities, lectures, and more all weekend.
11:00am to 1:30pm: Whale’s Tale Sailing Adventure
From “Devil Fish” to “Friendliest Whale,” explore how time and discovery have shaped man’s perception of the magnificent Gray Whale.
Join in for an exciting tallship sailing adventure as you gain new insights into man’s evolving relationship with the ocean and the giants that roam our California Coast as you sail in search of the Gray Whale.
