The Laguna Beach Recreation Committee meets Monday April 9 2018 at 6:00pm.
The Public is encouraged to attend.
The Recreation Committee directs its efforts in the area of
providing for the recreation and park needs of the community.
The meeting is being held at Laguna Beach Community Center.
Laguna Beach Community Center is located at 380 Third Street.

Community Assistance Grant for Scholarship Programs Update
Community Pool Subcommittee Continuation Discussion
2017-18 Committee Goals
Continue to collect and analyze information and draft a proposal of recommendation to City Council regarding the implementation of a second community pool.(on hold)
Finalize the template for a sports tournaments process in Laguna Beach. (complete)
Access and expand communication regarding program offerings to increase community
participation.
Plan for the expansion of multi-use Pickleball court offerings. (in progress)
Explore resources for the creation of a foundation to assist with potential scholarship
programs and/or large capital improvement projects.
Evaluate the current inventory of program offerings for after-school programs and youth
sports and identify the gaps in programming (if any).
Goal for Youth Representatives: Make a short two to three-minute video highlighting the
City parks with various amenities.
