Resolution of Opposition of SB 54
That the City Council adopt the attached Resolution supporting the County of Orange’s position on and associated litigation related to SB 54 entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DANA POINT, CALIFORNIA, TO CONDEMN STATE LAW THAT RESTRICTS LAW ENFORCEMENT AND ENDANGERS PUBLIC SAFETY.

Senate Bill 54 (De Leon), also known as the “California Values Act,” generally limits local law enforcement agencies’ abilities to collaborate and partner with federal agencies in the enforcement of federal immigration laws.
This is a Challenge of California State Sanctuary Laws.

Dana Point City Council encourages the community to participate in the Public Comments portion of the meeting.

In order to conduct a timely meeting, there will be a three-minute time limit per person and an overall time limit of fifteen minutes.
