Dana Point Doheny State Beach Earth Day Volunteer Day Saturday April 21 2018.

The California State Parks Foundation Earth Day Grant Project is sponsoring Doheny State Beach Earth Day Volunteer Day at 9:00am to 12:00pm.

The Earth Day Project is making improvements to the campground including:

1. Removal of diseased plants and shrubs and weeds
2. Planting native shrubs and trees
3. Installing planter chips in surrounding locations
4. Hand irrigation of new plantings
5. General cleanup of campground, park grounds, beach, creeks and jetty area

Children of all ages are welcome to participate if supervised by parents.

Please Bring your favorite shovel, work/gardening gloves, drinking water, a hat, and sunscreen.

Please identify yourselves as volunteers at the kiosk as you enter the park to receive a complimentary parking pass to display in the window of your vehicle.

Park in the Lot just before the bridge over San Juan Creek.

Walk over the bridge’s sidewalk and enter the open gate of the Campfire Center.

Please Pre Register online through California State Parks Foundation website to hep CSPF keep track of volunteer participation.
