California Coastal Commission Public Hearings Friday May 11 2018

Public hearing and action on request by the City of Huntington Beach to amend the certified Implementation Plan (IP) portion of the LCP by making various changes reflected in seven Zoning Text Amendments and one Zoning Map Amendment

Public hearing and action to extend time limit for action for 1-year on City of Dana Point’s request to amend the Dana Point Specific Plan to modify the Coastal Visitor Commercial (C-VC) land use designation and the City of Dana Point Zoning Ordinance to modify and add various provisions, including relating to Accessory Dwelling Units

Public hearing and action on request by City of Carlsbad to amend the certified Zoning Ordinance (IP) to allow auto repair uses in the P-M Planned Industrial zone, change the permit requirements for auto storage uses, and establish screening standards for auto repair and auto storage uses.

Public hearing and action on NOID by Caltrans, pursuant to NCC PWP/TREP, to remove non-native vegetation, install temporary irrigation, and plant native vegetation at the Batiquitos Bluffs mitigation site west of El Camino Real on either side of La Costa Avenue, Carlsbad and Encinitas, San Diego County

California Coastal Commission Mission

The mission of the California Coastal Commission is to protect, conserve, restore, and enhance environmental and human-based resources of the California coast and ocean for environmentally sustainable and prudent use by current and future generations.

The Commission holds monthly public meetings of three to five days in length in different locations throughout the state.
The Commission meetings provide an opportunity for the Coastal Commissioners to take public testimony and to make permit, planning, and other policy decisions.
Prior to each meeting, Commission staff collects and analyzes information pertinent to meeting agenda items and prepares written staff reports with recommendations for Commission action.
These staff reports are available for public review, by contacting the appropriate Commission office. Some
elected staff reports are also available electronically by means of a link from the Commission’s
Meeting Notice.
