At 2100 hours the incident management for the Aliso Fire was assumed by Orange County All Hazard Incident Management Team 1.

Laguna Beach City administrators are monitoring the fire from the City’s Emergency Operations Center.
The next media release on the fire situation will happen Sunday June 3 2018 morning between 8:00am and 9:00am.

The Laguna Beach Fire Department evacuation orders for residents in the Top of the World and Old Top of the World areas will remain in effect overnight tonight through Sunday morning.

This generally includes all neighborhoods along Alta Laguna Boulevard and down Park Avenue to Bern Drive and Temple Hills Drive to Dorn Court.

Evacuations remain in effect for these areas due to the potential of fire danger and because fire apparatus might be populating the neighborhoods preventing the ability to evacuate.

Evacuations will remain in effect throughout the night into Sunday morning.

Evacuated residents are encouraged to make other arrangements as they will not be able to return to their homes this evening.

The City wants to sincerely thank all residents affected by the evacuation for their cooperation during this turbulent time.

To be clear, no structures have been lost at this time.

The evacuation orders remain in effect in order to safeguard our citizens from any harm.

Aliso Viejo residents were allowed to return to their homes earlier this evening because the fire was no longer deemed a threat to the Aliso Viejo area.

Fire crews from the Laguna Beach Fire Department and the Orange County Fire Authority will closely monitor the fire situation and remain on scene through the night.

Two fire helicopters will continually drop water on the fire, and fire crews are equipped with bulldozers to create fire breaks if needed to prevent the fire from spreading.

Fire strike teams will also be on stand-by throughout the night if needed.

The Aliso Fire started early this afternoon and is now over 250 acres in size, with 1500 Laguna Beach residents evacuated.

City administrators are monitoring the fire from the City’s Emergency Operations Center, and the next media release on the fire situation will happen Sunday morning between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.

Temporary Evacuation Point or Evacuation Shelter: A Care and Reception Center has been opened at the Susi Q Community Center which is located at 380 3rd Street.
Information and staff are available at the center for evacuees.
There are currently 30 evacuees at the shelter.

Residents: It is necessary to keep roads closed and people evacuated from Old Top of the World to Alta Laguna Park.
There are road closures in that area to allow fire personnel to position themselves appropriately.
You will not be permitted re-entry to your home tonight.
We again thank you for your cooperation and understanding at this time.

8 fire strike teams, 6 air tankers, and 4 helicopters teaming up with OCSD Deputies and LBPD Officers.
Firefighters will be working throughout the night to stop this fire and ensure the safety of all of the citizens.

Aliso Viejo Mandatory Evacuations

Orange County PIO is reporting that the Aliso Fire is at 250+ acres with zero containment.
300 Firefighters are on scene.
Firefighters are making good progress now that the wind has started to diminish.
One Firefighter suffered a leg injury.

Mandatory Evacuations are also in Aliso Viejo.

Pacific Park and Wood Canyon – Approximately 2000 homes are effected.

If you have not evacuated the area please do so immediately. Evacuations are necessary due to the potential of fire danger and because fire apparatus might be populating the neighborhoods preventing your ability to evacuate.
Evacuations are expected to remain in effect throughout the night into tomorrow morning. Residents are encouraged to make other arrangements as they will likely not be able to return to their homes this evening.
Immediate Evacuation Order means that there is an imminent threat to life and property.
People and their pets in the immediate Evacuation Order Area should evacuate now without delay.

The fire is now at 150 acres in size, with 1500 people evacuated.

Orange County Fire Authority is reporting that the Aliso Fire is exhibiting extreme Fire behavior with erratic canyon winds.

Laguna Beach Police is reporting that 125 acres burned and 1500 residents evacuated.
Laguna Beach Police reminds everyone to “please be safe and be assured the Laguna Beach PD is fully committed to the safety of our citizens and animals in the city.”

Laguna Beach Police Department is reporting that evacuations are ordered in the Laguna Beach Top of the World and Old Top of the World neighborhoods.

Care and reception center established at the Susi Q Center located at 380 3rd Street in Laguna Beach California.

Orange County Fire Authority is reporting that over 275 Firefighters are on the scene to battle a wind driven vegetation Fire termed the #AlisoFire.

Four helicopters and two fixed-wing aircraft are en route to the scene.

Currently the Fire has impacted over 75 acres and there is zero containment.

There are no injuries reported.

There are no structures damaged.

Respirator masks labeled N95 or N100 provide some protection – they filter‐out fine particles but not hazardous gases (such as carbon monoxide, formaldehyde, and acrolein). This type of mask can be found at many hardware and home repair stores and pharmacies.
