UPDATE: Tuesday September 4 2018 at 5:00am: San Diego Gas & Electric estimates that power will be restored by 8:00am on Tuesday September 4 2018.
UPDATE: Monday September 3 2018 at 10:00pm: San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) Crews have found a need to repair SDG&E equipment. Full power should be restored by Tuesday September 4 2018 at 12:00am.
UPDATE: Monday September 3 2018 at 6:30pm: San Diego Gas & Electric is reporting Power should be restored by Tuesday September 4 2018 at 12:00am. 74 Customers are still without power.
SDGE is accessing the outage to determine the cause.
UPATE: Monday September 3 20187 at 5:43pm: Via Social Media, some Dana Point residents are reporting that their power has been restored. Other residents are still without power.
San Diego Gas and Electric is reporting a Power Outage in Dana Point/Capo Beach on Monday September 3 2018.
Outage occurred at 4:30pm.
At the height of the Outage, 1841 Dana Point Customers were without power.
San Diego Gas and Electric is assessing the situation.
San Diego Gas and Electric expects to restore power by 7:00pm on Monday September 3 2018.

Use flashlight rather than candle for light
If using a standby generator follow these safety tips:
Turn off major appliances like dishwasher or A/C that were running when the power went out to prevent them from starting unexpectedly when power is restored
Unplug or turn off TVs, stereos or game systems
Leave one light on so you know when power is restored
Power Outage Supplies to keep on hand:
A flashlight with a supply of fresh batteries.
A portable battery-powered radio so you can keep up with the news.
A telephone that does not depend on electricity.
(Cordless phones will not function during an outage)
A supply of easy-to-prepare, nonperishable foods.
(This includes packaged snacks and bottled water and juices)
A wind-up or battery-operated clock.
A first-aid kit.
A manual can opener.
