The San Juan Capistrano Historical Society and the Dana Point Historical Society invite the public to join in marking the 200th anniversary of the Raid on San Juan Capistrano for free family friendly events.

11:00am History Walk at Trabuco Creek Trail at Descanso Park to Los Rios Park
A group of Living History “pirates” will recreate the historic 3/4 mile walk from Dana Point to San Juan Capistrano
Descanso Park is located at 32506 Paseo Adelanto in San Juan Capistrano
Los Rios Park is located at 1747 Los Rios Street
11:30am-1:00pm: Select Downtown San Juan Capistrano merchants will be “pillaged”
1:00pm-4:00pm San Juan Capistrano Pirate Fiesta

The Living History “pirates” group will then camp overnight on the grounds of the San Juan Capistrano Historical Society.

Sunday November 4 2018
2:30pm: Trial of Argentinian patriot and alleged “pirate” Hipólito Bouchard at San Juan Community Center
3:30pm: A jury will render a verdict deciding if Bouchard is a patriot, privateer or pirate
The public is invited to attend the “trial” of Bouchard at a joint meeting of the San Juan Capistrano Historical Society and The Dana Point Historical Society.
