NASA Super Moon Facts

1) SuperMoon: The Moon is closer to the Earth in its orbit (perigee) and about (14%) brighter than usual.

2) Lunar Eclipse: Lunar eclipses can only happen during the full moon phase, when the Moon and the Sun are on opposite sides of Earth.
At that point, the Moon could move into the shadow cast by Earth, resulting in a lunar eclipse.

3) Blood Moon: Red light will be the most dominant color highlighted as sunlight passes through our atmosphere and casts it on the moon.

4) Wolf Moon: In January a Full Moon is known as a Wolf Moon due to folklore of hungry wolves howling outside of villages.
