Orange County California Everyone Counts Homeless Count is Wednesday January 23 2019 and Thursday January 24 2019.
Volunteers will be Counting the Homeless in Orange County.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development requires that the Point In Time count take place within the last 10 days of January.

The Point in Time is a biennial count of people experiencing homelessness on a given point in time during the last ten days in January.

The count provides vital information that helps the County better understand homelessness in the community and guides the way the County and its partners respond to homelessness in Orange County.

Learn the Number of people that are experiencing homelessness in Orange County

Learn the Locations of where people stay within the county

Learn the Demographics of individuals and families experiencing homelessness

Including number of veterans and transitional aged youth

Learn the Number of people affected by physical or mental health concerns or disabilities

Orange County Point in Time 2019 Information helps the organizations* that are working to address homelessness in Orange County.
OC Point in Time helps to identify which services are needed, identify trends and changes in demographics over time and decide how best to work together to collaboratively solve this complex social issue.

The Count will include homeless people that are in temporary shelters.

City Net implemented the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development methodology to conduct the 2019 Point In Time count.

The maps that will be used in the 2019 Point In Time count were developed in partnership with street outreach agencies, homeless service providers and local experts, including law enforcement agencies, and previously homeless individuals that are familiar with the areas.

City Net coordinated and compiled geographical data on hotspot locations and incorporated it into the 2019 Point In Time maps.

The Orange County geographical region will be canvassed at least two times by teams comprised of one Team Captain and three to five Field Surveyors.

Surveying teams will deploy from one of five geographically appropriate Deployment Centers that will be active on Wednesday January 23 and Thursday January 24 2019.
