San Onofre Nuclear Storage NRC Live Webinar Thursday January 24 2019.

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is conducting Pre-Decisional Enforcement Conference in Arlington Texas via Webinar on Special Inspection at San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station at 12:00pm (pst) to 3:00pm (pst).

The Meeting is open for public observation and will be broadcast via live webinar.

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission will meet with representatives of Southern California Edison Company to discuss preliminary findings of a Special Inspection it conducted at the
San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS) following an August 3 2018 fuel-loading incident.

SONGS is owned by Southern California Edison and was permanently shut down in 2013.

No decision on the final safety significance of the findings identified in a November 28 2019 Inspection Report or any additional NRC actions will be made at the conference.

That decision will be announced at a later date.
