Did you know the ocean currently contains 5.25 trillion pieces of trash and counting?
This WILD Weekend takes “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” to the next level by addressing the ever-growing issue of marine plastics pollution with an upcycled art project.
Participants will be creating sea-life-shaped garden ornaments out of single-use plastics and other common sources of marine debris.
Ocean Institute will be providing all materials for the project, but participants should feel more than welcome to bring any additional recyclable materials to add to their designs (i.e. bottle caps, plastic bags, small hard plastics, etc.)
Minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Tickets:
$12.50 per adult
$9.50 per child
$2.50 per Ocean Institute Member (enter member ID upon checkout)
*Ticket includes admission to Ocean Institute for the day
The Ocean Institute is located at 24200 Dana Point Harbor Drive
