The Crystal Cove Alliance Spring Art in the Park Celebration is Saturday March 30 2019.
This is a Crystal Cove Free Family Friendly Event.

Crystal Cove Art in the Park is a family friendly event is filled with activities that celebrate the integration of art and nature through workshops, performances, and activities.

9:30am-10:00am – Sea Glass Beach Walk meeting in the Education Commons

10:00am-10:30am- Native American Blessing with Jacque Nunez in the Education Commons. Jacque is a descendent of Crystal Cove’s local tribe, the Juaneno Band of Mission Indians, Acjachemen Nation.

10:00am-3:00pm – Watercolor Painting on the Promenade (in front of Beachcomber) with artist Pamme Turner.

10:00am-4:00pm – Sea Glass Wrapping in the Education Commons.

11:00am-12:00pm – Basket Weaving with Jacque Nunez at Cottage #13.
Materials fee is $5 to the public; free to Crystal Cove Conservancy members

11:00am-12:00pm – Squid Dissection and Ink Art in Cottage #22. Come learn about the anatomy of a squid and use the squid’s ink sac and pen to create your own art piece.

12:00pm-1:00pm – Native American Storytelling with Jacque Nunez at Cottage #13.

1:00pm-2:00pm – Nature Poetry Workshop with writer Thea Gavin at Cottage #22.
With the outdoors as inspiration and classroom, learn new ways of “giving voice” and connecting with nature through simple writing exercises that will combine methodical observation with wild creativity. Limited space available. Register Online at Crystal Cove

1:00pm-2:00pm – Basket Weaving with Jacque Nunez at Cottage #13.
Materials fee is $5 to the public; free to Crystal Cove Conservancy members

1:00pm-2:30pm – Cal State Fullerton New Music Ensemble and CSUF New Music Improvisation Ensembles, with piano in the Historic District’s Visitor Center.

Crystal Cove State Park is located at 7549-7653 E Pacific Coast Highway.

(Park in the Los Trancos lot – PCH inland at stoplight Los Trancos then walk across the street or take the shuttle.)

Day-use Parking Fees: $5/per hour (max. $15)
