The Laguna Beach Arts Commission meets Monday April 22 2019.

The Laguna Beach Arts Commission will be meeting at Laguna Beach City Council Chambers.
Laguna Beach City Council Chambers is located at 505 Forest Avenue.
The public is encouraged to attend.

Members of the Arts Commission advise City Council about matters pertaining to artistic and aesthetic aspects of the City.
This includes rules and regulations necessary for the administration and preservation of fine arts, performing arts, and aesthetic aspects of the community.
Members of the Arts Commission serve two-year terms.

Proposed Discussion Items Include:

Cultural Arts Funding Presentations: Sawdust Art Festival and LOCA Arts Education

“The Word on The Street”– Discuss and approve a temporary installation by Los Angeles multimedia artist Scott Froschauer

Heisler Park Public Art – Recommend accepting a donation of $25,000 from John Wolf, extend the installation by Scott and Naomi Schoenherr in Heisler Park at a cost of $37,000

Art That’s Small at City Hall – Discuss and approve jurors for the 2018 competition

2018 Literary Laureate – Discuss and approve jurors for the 2018 competition

Creative Placemaking Study Session – Update report from the February 20, 2018, meeting
