Laguna Beach Reopening Some Local Businesses During COVID-19 May 19 2020

Certain California Businesses are permitted to reopen with restrictions during Stage 2 of the California Resilience Roadmap.

Laguna Beach Businesses Open May 19 2020

Essential Services are permitted to be open for in-person shopping.
Customers and employees must wear face coverings.

Construction, plumbing, and electrical work
Financial institutions
Grocery stores, farmer’s markets, and convenience stores
Laundromats and dry cleaners
Medical, veterinary hospitals and clinics, pet food, and pet grooming
Restaurants are permitted to operate for curbside pickup, takeout, and delivery only.
There is no dine-in availability.

Certain types of retail businesses are permitted to be open for curbside pick-up and delivery:

Book stores, music stores, and florists
Clothing and shoe stores
Home furnishing and antique stores
Jewelry stores
Office-based businesses unable to telecommute
Outdoor museums and botanical gardens
Outdoor shopping malls and strip malls
Sporting goods and toy stores

Laguna Beach City Functions and Facilities Open

Laguna Beach Beaches
Open for active recreation with physical distancing weekdays from 6:00am until 10:00pm and for physical distancing recreation with social distancing on weekends from 6:00am until 12:00pm noon.

Laguna Beach City Council Meetings
Proceeding with the opportunity for the public to participate from home.
Zoom Instructions Are Online.

Laguna Beach Committee, Subcommittee, and Board Meetings
Planning Commission and Design Review Board meetings will be conducted in the manner of City Council meetings with the opportunity for the public to participate from home.
There will be an online meeting of the Emergency and Disaster Preparedness Committee on June 1 2020. Other committee meetings are canceled for the time being.

Laguna Beach Dog Parks are Open
Dog Parks close for wet and muddy conditions and close weekly for maintenance.
The Dog Park in Laguna Canyon closes on Wednesdays and the Dog Play Area in Moulton Meadows Park closes on Thursdays.

Laguna Beach Fire Road is Open For Active Recreation

Laguna Beach Parks Are Open with Exceptions
All City parks are open except Main Beach Park and Treasure Island Park.
The pathways at Heisler Park are open for active recreation.
Large gatherings are not permitted at City parks.

Laguna Beach Tennis and Pickleball Courts Open with Restrictions
Open for one-on-one play only.
No spectators.

Laguna Beach Trailheads Open
All trailheads are open regular hours.
Alta Laguna Trailhead open 7:00am until 11:00am.

Laguna Beach Closed City Functions and Facilities

Laguna Beach Animal Shelter By Appointment Only
Closed to the public, except by appointment.
Residents who need to visit the shelter to pick up a recovered pet, schedule the adoption of a pet, or to purchase a dog license, may do so by calling the Animal Shelter at (949) 497-3552 between 11:00am and 4:00pm seven days a week.

Laguna Beach City Hall and City Buildings Closed to Public
City Hall and City Buildings — City Hall and the Community and Susi Q Senior Center are closed to the public at this time.
However, City operations will continue with available staff.

Sunset Serenades and Concerts in the Park are postponed until late summer 2020 or early fall 2020, date to be determined.
