The City of Dana Point is a great location for your 4th of July 2020 Celebrations!
South OC Beaches has all the information to help you have a great 4th of July in Dana Point!

UPDATE on July 1 2020 at 3:30pm: The City of Dana Point on their Facebook Announced: We are disappointed to announce the cancelation of the fireworks show this year.
It was a very difficult decision, and we appreciate your patience.
The show is one of our community’s favorite traditions and the City will be working to reschedule when its safe to do so.”

Dana Point 4th of July Celebrations may be altered due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
We will update this posting when we become aware of changes.

Dana Point: It’s A Day at the Beach!

Doheny State Beach Park 4th of July 2020 Hours are 6:00am to 10:00pm
You can walk into the Park for Free.
Please remember that no firecrackers or fireworks are permitted in the park, and alcoholic drinking is prohibited.
Doheny State Beach is located at 25300 Dana Point Harbor Drive in Dana Point.
Doheny State Beach charges a daily parking fee.
Parking is limited to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Dana Point Harbor Organic Water Wars
Dana Point Harbor at 12:00pm: Participants head out in the main channel in boats ranging from small inflatables to 20+ foot fishing boats.
Small skirmishes can be seen throughout the day.
Epic scale battle happens around noon.
This event has not been confirmed due to COVID-19.

Condor Squadron 4th of July 2020 Flyover Schedule

Four AT-6 aircraft World War II trainers will take place along the Orange County Coastal Area

It is noted on their Facebook Page that this event is at 6:00pm without detailed times.

Dana Point Fireworks Schedule July 4 2020

Fireworks in the Sky over Doheny State Beach and Dana Point Harbor
7:30pm: Harbor Closes to Personal Vehicles (Buses will be allowed entry to harbor)
8:45pm: Be Ready for Fireworks
9:00pm: Fireworks Begin
10:30pm: Harbor Access Will Reopen

Dana Point Fireworks Viewing Locations

You can view it from virtually anywhere in Dana Point Harbor.
Dana Point Harbor is located at 34624 Golden Lantern Street.
Two of the most popular locations are Heritage Park located at 34400 Old Golden Lantern and Lantern Bay Park located at 25111 Park Lantern Road.
Both parks are located on the cliffs above Dana Point Harbor.

You can also view Fireworks from many of Dana Point restaurants and areas within the Harbor, including the Island area, the bridge, Baby Beach, the wharf and off Puerto Place.

Dana Point Harbor Cruises Available

Ocean Institute 4th of July Harbor Cruise
On the RV Explorer for a Sunset Cruise. $40.00 per person. (2 and under are free)
Masks will be required at check in.
Temperature will be taken with contactless thermometer prior to boarding.
Number of participants will be limited.

Dana Wharf 4th of July Cruise
Dinner Cruise on Dana Pride Pricing is $109.00
Sailboat Fireworks Coastal Cruise is $95.00
Fireworks Deck Seating starts is $56.00/$46.00/$10.00
Masks will be required for all passengers and staff.
Capacity will be significantly reduced to allow for maximum social distancing.

Online Firework Music

Visitors can tune in to the City of Dana Point’s Spotify playlist and listen to patriotic music accompanying the display.

Saddleback College KSBR Radio Station will be live streaming patriotic music that accompanies the fireworks

California Department of Public Health Mandates Face Coverings in Public Spaces when physical distancing of 6 Feet cannot be maintained.

Dana Point Annual Water Wars is an Organic Event and may not be happening due to COVID19.
