Current Evacuation Numbers Revised by OCFA at 9:00am
The Cities of Irvine and Lake Forest in Orange County California, evacuates over 70,600 residents due to the Silverado Fire.
Current containment is at 5% and 12,600 acres have burned in Orange County.
More than 750 FireFighters are battling the #SilveradoFire with 14 helicopters.
Silverado Fire Origin
The Silverado Fire started at the break of dawn (6:47am) on Monday October 26 2020.
Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) is the lead agency on the #Silveradofire.
OCFA states that this is a vegetation fire of 10 acres.
The Fire started in the area of Santiago Canyon Road and Silverado Canyon Road that is Southwest of Silverado.

Areas near Foothill Ranch still smoldering. Baker Ranch is still smoldering with flare-ups likely to occur throughout the night. Cal Fire will take over operations tonight at 6:30pm.
5:35pm: City of Irvine: Mandatory evacuations set for the Silverado Fire have been lifted at this time for the following areas in Irvine:
Everything east of the 133 Toll Road to Portola High School and everything north of Great Park Boulevard to Irvine Boulevard.
This also includes the commercial area west of Bake Parkway and south of Irvine Boulevard to Toledo Way.

Mandatory evacuations in Baker Ranch, Foothill Ranch, and Portola Hills will continue to remain in place overnight Tuesday 10/27/20. Overnight accommodations should be made. Access into these areas remain closed.
The City will notify residents when they can return home.

11:00pm: City of Irvine: All community centers closed for the evening at 10:00pm and will reopen tomorrow at 6:00am. Woodbridge and University High Schools will serve as overnight facilities until all individuals and families can be placed through the American Red Cross.
10:00am: City of Lake Forest reports that all of Portola Hills is under Mandatory Evacuation.
