
Orange County Fire Fighters gain more control over the Silverado Fire on Wednesday October 28 2020
Most residents are allowed to return home. Some Lake Forest Residents remain under evacuation.

Current containment is at 32% and 13,390 acres have burned in Orange County Silverado Area.
Firefighters anticipate favorable weather will allow more containment.
Almost 80,000 Orange County Irvine and Lake Forests Residents were evacuated.
Most residents have been allowed to return home.
Silverado Fire Origin
The Silverado Fire started at the break of dawn (6:47am) on Monday October 26 2020.
Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) is the lead agency on the #Silveradofire.
The Fire started in the area of Santiago Canyon Road and Silverado Canyon Road that is Southwest of Silverado.

7:00pm: Cal Fire Silverado Fire Incident Update
13,390 Acres have burned with 32% containment. 1,557 Structures are threatened.
Fire Spread has slowed due to the decrease in winds and humidity over the fire area.
Firefighters continue to make progress constructing direct handling and working perimeter control.
Crews will maintain active patrol through the evening mopping-up and securing additional line.
5:30pm: City of Lake Forest Evacuation Update
Mandatory evacuations will remain in place in part of Portola Hills and part of Foothill Ranch overnight Weds., 10/28/20. The City will provide its next update at 6:00am Thursday October 29 2020.
3:00pm: City of Mission Viejo Update
The #SilveradoFire is no longer a threat to Mission Viejo and the evacuation warning has been lifted for Zone 1. This includes the communities of Painted Trails and Sky Ridge.
2:45pm: Evacuations Lifted (Cal Fire Twitter)
All Irvine Evacuation Orders and Warnings Have Been lifted.
(including areas north of Portola Parkway)

Cal Fire has lifted mandatory evacuations on Zones 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9.

Zones 3 and 4 are still under mandatory evacuation.
Mission Viejo Evacuation Warning Lifted
The #SilveradoFire is no longer a threat to Mission Viejo and the evacuation warning has been lifted for Zone 1. This includes the communities of Painted Trails and Sky Ridge
