Orange County #BondFire is at forty-five percent containment with over 7375 acres burned on Saturday December 5 2020.
A Community Meeting is scheduled at 3:00pm on Sunday December 6 2020 at The Great Park.
Orange County Silverado Canyon Bond Fire is a wind driven structure fire that extended to nearby vegetation late Wednesday December 2 2020.

8:00am: Cal Fire Report:

7375 Acres Burned with Forty Percent Containment

Firefighters worked overnight to construct and reinforce fire lines, which are currently holding.
They will continue to work today (Saturday December 5 2020) to extend these fire lines and improve containment.

Despite the Red Flag Warning expiring overnight, dry conditions will continue with low humidities and the potential for gusty winds.
Moderate Santa Ana winds are expected to return on Monday (December 7 2020) and Tuesday (December 8 2020) bringing widespread critical fire weather conditions.

Damage assessment teams have begun a systematic survey of the fire area.

They have completed 40% of the fire area and will continue their assessment tomorrow (Sunday December 6 2020).

Bond Fire Started as a structure fire in Silverado Canyon on Bond Road that fully engulfed a home.
Strong winds pushed flames into nearby vegetation.

Continued mapping of the #BondFire has it at 7,375 acres with 30% containment.
There are 1,560 personnel working on the incident.
Firefighters & 11 helicopters continued to mop up hot spots & improve containment lines today.

Evacuation orders have been lifted in the city of Lake Forest.
Lake Forest is under evacuation warning only.
Modjeska, Silverado and Williams Canyons are still under mandatory evacuation.

A community meeting is being planned for residents in the areas under evacuation order Saturday December 5 2020. Details are forthcoming.

All evacuation orders for Lake Forest have been lifted.
The previous evacuation zones will remain under evacuation warnings due to National Weather Service Red Flag warning that is in place through Saturday 12/5.

CAL FIRE Incident Management Team 4 has been activated to Orange County to manage the #BondFire which is currently 6400 acres and 10% contained.

10:25am: Cleveland National Forest (Twitter)

The two FS Firefighters were treated & released from the hospital last night, Thursday December 4 2020.
One sustained a leg injury & the other suffered minor bruising.

8:00pm: OCFA Reports that Due to more accurate mapping, the #BondFire is at 6,400 acres w/10% containment.
Per Cal Trans: All roads are reopened except for Santiago Canyon Road.
Per OC Sheriff: Evacuation orders have been lifted in Lake Forest, North of Alton Parkway, East of the 241.

3:00pm: Orange County Fire Authority Press Conference Facebook Live

1:40pm: (2) Firefighters were injured.
OCFA reports that they were treated by firefighter paramedics and transported to a hospital for further care.

12:20pm: Mandatory Evacuation Orders:
Black Star Canyon/Baker Canyon/Silverado Canyon/Modjeska Canyon/Williams Canyon/Portola Hills/Foothill Ranch East and Foothill Ranch.

12:20pm: Voluntary Evacuation Warnings:
Cowan Heights/Lemon Heights/Live Oak Canyon/Trabuco Canyon/Rose Canyon/Holy Jim Canyon/Baker Ranch South/Foothill Ranch East

11:55am: 7200 Acres Burned. Zero Percent Containment.

10:35am: OCFA has received reports that there may be multiple structures damaged from the fire.
OCFA is in the process of verifying the number involved and the extent of damage.

9:45am: 4000 Acres Burned. Zero Percent Containment. Firefighters on the Ground and in the Air.

Due to high winds and fire conditions, the following facilities are closed:

Irvine Regional, Peters Canyon, Santiago Oaks and O’Neill regional parks, OC Zoo, Irvine Lake, Irvine Ranch Open Space, Saddleback Gateway, Whiting Ranch Wilderness Park and Arden Modjeska Historic House and Gardens.
