May’s Full Moon is a Super Blood Moon and a Lunar Eclipse!

Super Moons occurs when the Moon’s orbit is closest (perigee) to Earth at the same time the Moon is full.

Lunar Eclipses: During a lunar eclipse, Earth comes between the Sun and the Moon, blocking the sunlight falling on the Moon. Earth’s shadow covers all or part of the lunar surface.

NASA states that the total eclipse will begin around 4:11am(pt) on Wednesday May 26 201 and will last about 15 minutes.
