Orange County Toll Road Shut Down Due to Brush Fire Saturday July 24 2021

Orange County Fire Authority is fighting a Wild Fire near Laguna Canyon Road on the 73 Toll Road on Saturday July 24 2021.

The Toll Roads reported that all lanes on the Northbound 73 Toll Road are open.

The Northbound Lanes of Highway 73 are all closed at the Laguna Canyon Road (133) connector.

The City of Laguna Beach is reporting that traffic is being diverted off Hwy 73 to El Toro Road.

Laguna Beach Police and the California Highway Patrol is on scene with the Orange County Fire Authority.

Orange County Fire Authority is reporting that they stopped the forward progress of the fire.

California Highway Patrol is reporting that a vehicle hit a sign and went over an embankment.

The vehicle became inflamed and set the nearby brush on fire.

Orange County Fire Authority is reporting that the driver of the vehicle has been transported to the hospital.

***FINAL*** Fire was held to 1 acre. The driver of the vehicle was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
No injuries to Fire Fighters.
