Women’s March Women’s Wave focus is that Women’s rights are human rights!
Join in with the Women’s Wave on October 8 2022 to support freedom for everyone, regardless of gender, to control our own bodies, our own choices, and our own lives.

8:30am-11:00am: Encinitas: Thread Spun
Thread Spun is located at 1114 North Coast Highway 101 in Encinitas
Gathering outside of Thread Spun between 8:30am and 8:45am and begin marching at 9:00am.
Please, out of respect for the other businesses in our plaza, do not park in the parking lot.
There is lots of street parking around.
March south, turning East on E street, and end in front of Encinitas City Hall (2 mile walk).

10:00am-12:00pm: Redondo Beach
Veterans Park located at 309 Esplanade in Redondo Beach

10:00am-2:00pm: Westlake Village
Westlake Village Promenade is located at 140 Promenade Way in Westlake Village

11:00am-4:00pm:Los Angeles
1852 East 1st Street
Panels will focus on critical issues ranging from Reproductive Rights, Voting Rights to Climate to Economic Justice.
Speakers and musical guests to be announced.

11:00am-5:00pm: Santa Maria City Hall
City of Santa Maria City Hall is located at 110 East Cook Street

12:00pm-12:30pm: Topanga
Pine Tree Circle is located at 122 North Topanga Canyon Boulevard in Topanga

12:00pm-4:00pm: University of California in Irvine (UCI)
Meet up at the UCI Flagpoles (at the front of the campus) and then protest on the bridge connecting UCI campus to UTC with banners, signs, and noisemakers as people drive by.

12:00pm-2:00pm: Santa Barbara Museum of Art
Santa Barbara Museum of Art is located at 1130 State Street in Santa Barbara

12:00pm-4:00pm: Santa Monica Pier
Santa Monica Pier is located at 200 Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica

12:00pm-5:00pm: Ventura Plaza Park
Plaza Park is located at Santa Clara & Chestnut Streets in Ventura

1:00pm-3:00pm: Claremont
Foothill Blvd and Indian Hill Blvd West in Claremont

2:00pm-4:00pm: Carlsbad Magee Park
Magee Park is located at 258 Beech Avenue in Carlsbad
Meeting at the park and then march through the Village and return to the park for a rally.

2:00pm-5:00pm: Long Beach
Governor George Deukmejian Courthouse located at 275 Magnolia Avenue in Long Beach
Marching from the Courthouse to Harvey Milk Park where there will be a Community and Activism Fair.
Harvey Milk Park is located at 1885 East 3rd Street in Long Beach

Protestors Should Be Prepared

Walk on Sidewalks and Stay off the Streets

Carpooling is Recommended

Demonstrators are encouraged to bring signs (no picket signs)/water/snacks/sunblock/hats

ACLU Rights and Responsibilities of Protestors is Online

If you take part in a protest You may:

Distribute leaflets, flyers or other literature on your own property or on public sidewalks, parks and plazas

Picket or protest on public sidewalks, parks and plazas so long as sidewalks and building entrances are no blocked

Chant or sing protest songs on public sidewalks, parks and plazas

If you Take Part in A Protest You may not

Block access to sidewalks or buildings

March in the streets without a permit

Disrupt counter-protests

Engage in speech that is obscene, makes knowingly false statements of fact, or that is likely to incite an immediate disruptive or dangerous disturbance
