
Southern California Airport Fire Guide Thursday September 12 2024.

The Airport Fire is burning in the Santa Ana Mountains between Rancho Santa Margarita, Lake Elsinore, and Modjeska Peak.
Orange County Fire Authority is reporting that, “Evacuation levels have been downgraded in both Orange and Riverside Counties. Firefighters are actively working to reinforce containment lines southwest of the fire.”
Evacuation warnings have been lifted for the following zones:
* Via Vista Grande
* Clinton Keith
* Calle Bandido, Avenida La Cresta, Via Majorca
* San Diego County / Riverside County Line
* RVC-2076, 2077, 2145, 2146, 2147, 2244, 2245

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is announcing the down grade of the evacuation orders for the Robinson Ranch community in the City of Rancho Santa Margarita and a portion of the Ortega Highway from a Mandatory Evacuation Order to a Voluntary Evacuation Warning effective Thursday September 12 2024 at 3:00pm.
The Robinson Ranch community will be opened to residents only beginning at 3:00pm on Thursday afternoon. Residents need to bring identification or proof of residency to enter the community.

Fire is currently at 23,410 acres and 5 % Containment.

Monday September 9 2024 at 1:00pm on Trabuco Creek Road: County Public Works was using heavy equipment to place boulders to block off vegetation when a spark ignited vegetation and started the fire.
