Cal Fire Reports that Palisades Fire started at 10:30am in Pacific Palisades.

Fire is Under Investigation.

Pacific Palisades Is Under Evacuation Orders.

Immediate threat to life. This is a lawful order to LEAVE NOW. The area is lawfully closed to public access.

Westwood Recreation Center located at 1350 South Sepulveda Blvd in Los Angeles.
Residents can stay overnight tonight. They do accept small animals.

The Palisades fire is estimated at 300 acres and is currently bumping the area of Chastain Parkway East and Calle Brittany.

The fire has spotted across Palisades Drive and is currently on both sides of the road.

The City of Santa Monica stated: To assist with current Palisades Fire evacuations, westbound I-10 at Lincoln Boulevard and northbound PCH will be closed until further notice.

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning For Tuesday January 7 2025 thru Thursday January 9 2025.

Expect strong Santa Ana Winds and Low Relative Humidity starting Tuesday Afternoon on January 7 2025.

Winds Could reach upward to 60mph.

That National Weather Warns that this is critical situation for Southern California.
“A period of widespread, strong winds accompanied by very dry air and critically dry fuels will result in dangerous fire weather conditions. Any new fire ignition in these areas will likely have very dangerous wildfire spread and behavior with great difficulty in containment that could impact life and property.”

Public Safety Power Shutoffs may be necessary to protect communities in portions of Southern California.
