Goal Is Mobilizing to Fight Back and to Support Science Funding, Free Dissemination of Research, and Science for All

Stand Up For Science 2025 Policy Goals Are Online

Science is for everyone – and benefits everyone.
When the government invests our tax dollars to support scientific research, it creates jobs, fuels innovation, and sustains and improves our world.
From clean water to the polio vaccine to the cell phone you might be reading this on, science impacts our lives every day in countless ways.

Our federal scientific agencies – NIH, NSF, NOAA, NASA, CDC, EPA, USDA, USFS, and others – are under unprecedented attack by the Trump administration.
Agency leaders have been fired. Essential funding for research, training, and education has been frozen or cancelled.
These actions are harming our ability to fight disease, from cancer to dementia to emerging viruses.
They will hobble our efforts to limit and mitigate climate change. We risk losing a generation of scientific talent and our international leadership.
These are dire threats to our health, colleges and universities, the U.S. and world economy, and the future of our society.
