Join in honoring the rich cultural tradition of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) in San Clemente at Max Berg Plaza Park.
Día de los Muertos is a free family friendly event in San Clemente California at 2:00pm-6:00pm.
This vibrant community celebration will bring families and friends together to remember and celebrate loved ones who have passed.

Traditional Art Display
Community members are invited to pay their respects and learn about the customs surrounding this important tradition.
The altar display will be open to the public throughout the event.
Bring photos/ofrenda of your departed loved ones to the park altar display from 10/30/25 until 11/2/25.
Pictures of your departed loved ones will be available to be picked up at the San Clemente Community Center after 11/4/25.
Catrina/Catrin Contest
La Catrina is an iconic symbol of Día de los Muertos and has become a representation of honoring death and indigenous beliefs.
La Catrina is celebrated through costumes, sugar skulls, sculptures, and contests during Día de los Muertos celebrations.
Categories: Youth (17 and Under); Adults (18+ Years)
Contestant check-in at 2:00pm; Showcase begins at 1:30pm.
People’s choice voting will be from 3:00pm and 4:30pm
Winners will be announced at 5:00pm.
Prizes will be awarded to the winners during the awards announcement.
