The San Onofre Community Engagement Panel (CEP) will hold a joint meeting with the Washington, D.C.- based Bipartisan Policy Center on Tuesday January 27 2015 at 6:00pm (pst) in San Juan Capistrano to discuss long-term storage of used nuclear fuel.
The current plan is to store nuclear waste on site indefinitely.
Storing nuclear waste near a high population density that is in a earthquake zone is illogical and very unsafe.
The meeting will be held at the San Juan Community Center located at 25925 Camino Del Avion.
The public is invited to attend this regular meeting of the CEP, which was formed to advise the co-owners of the San Onofre nuclear power plant on decommissioning the facility.
