The 31th Annual Toshiba Tall Ships Festival in Dana Point kicks off Friday September 11 2015 with the Sunset Parade.
You can see the parade from the breakwater behind the Ocean Institute!
You can join the armada as you cast off for adventure aboard a historic tall ship during the annual tall ships parade at sunset.
Work with the crew hauling up sail or simply sit back and enjoy the spectacular demonstration of skill, knowledge and survival!
Cost:
Members: $35 / adults, $25 / children (4-12 yrs.)
Non-members: $45 / adults, $35 / children (4-12 yrs.)
Tickets are available for purchase at Sunset Parade.
1:30pm thru 3:00 pm: Check In Time
4:00 pm: Boarding Time
4:30pm to 7:30pm: Sail Time
Note for the landlubbers…
For those of you who can’t make it out to sea, you may view the parade from shore from the breakwater behind the Ocean Institute. We can’t guarantee what time the ships will pass by, but it’s safe to arrive around 5:30 p.m. Don’t forget you camera!
Parking Information and Directions to Tall Ship Festival
The Dana Point Ocean Institute is located in Dana Point Harbor at 24200 Dana Point Harbor Drive.
There will be no onsite parking at the Ocean Institute during the Festival.
Parking is not allowed on Dana Point Harbor Drive during the Festival. You will be towed if you park there.
There is limited free timed parking in lots in Dana Point Harbor.
Saturday and Sunday Festival: Free Shuttle to the Festival and free parking at Strands Beach and Dana Hills High School.
Official shuttle hours are from 9:30am-8:30pm Saturday September 12 2015 and Sunday September 13 2015.
Festival begins at 10:00am Saturday September 12 2015 and Sunday September 13 2015.
Please allow ample time to get from the offsite parking lots to the Ocean Institute festival site.
Shuttles will run continuously during Festival hours.
Strands Beach Parking Lot is located at 34199 Selva Road Dana Point
If traveling on the I-5 South: exit on Pacific Coast Highway. If traveling on the I-5 North: exit at Beach Cities. From either offramp, go past Dana Point Harbor Drive approximately 1.7 miles. Turn left on Selva Road. Lot will be on the right.
Dana Hills High School is located at 33333 Golden Lantern Street Dana Point
If traveling on the 5 south: Exit on Pacific Coast Highway. If traveling on the 5 north: Exit at Beach Cities. From either offramp go past Dana Point Harbor Drive for approximately 1.5 miles, until the signal light at Golden Lantern.
Turn Right on Golden Lantern and travel about one mile until Acapulco Dr. At Acapulco Drive make a u-turn, and proceed to the Dana Hills parking lot on the right.
