The monthly meeting of the San Clemente Garden Club is Wednesday March 2 2016.
The March 2016 meeting will focus on Creating A Simple Arrangement and An English Garden Basket.
The San Clemente Garden Club meets at 1:00 pm at St. Andrew’s Methodist Church
located at 2001 Calle Frontera in San Clemente.
Floral Designer Janelle Wiley will be teaching Creating a Simple Arrangement and an English Garden Basket
Floral designer Janelle Wiley says the “easiest floral arrangements are the ones that look like you lifted them right out of your garden.”
Janelle will show how to do just that by creating a simple table arrangement and what appears more complex, an English garden basket.
Janelle was introduced to floral arranging in 1971 when she registered for a floral design class at Coastline College.
She then went on to form her own business, Holly Ivy Floral Design, with a friend, and in 2001 joined the staff at Sherman Gardens in Corona del Mar.
She continues to provide floral arranging classes at Sherman Gardens and other groups and garden clubs on a variety of topics, including living wreaths, tillandsias, and succulents.
In addition to her initial course at Coastline College, she has taken private instructions in floral design and horticulture classes at Saddleback College.
