South Orange County Surfrider presentation on Southern California Offshore Oil Drilling Threat in Laguna Beach Monday October 9 2017.

South Orange County Surfrider Chapter Meeting at Laguna Beach Women’s Club at 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

Surfrider warns the Southern California Community that “Our Pacific waters are now under threat of new oil and gas leases! Under the current administration, President TRUMP has called for a re-evaluation of the federal 5-year national oil and gas leasing plan.
Offshore drilling and inevitable leaks, spills, and major accidents can happen at every stage of oil exploration, production and transportation.
As we witnessed in 2015 the Refugio/Santa Barbara spill, combined with several monumental accidents such as the Deepwater Horizon spill, our coastline and economy is now facing many risks.”

Surfrider Presentation and Q & A with:

Pete Stauffer Environmental Director for Surfrider Foundation

Nancy Hastings Campaign Organizer for Southern California Oceana

The Laguna Beach Women’s Club is located at 286 St. Ann’s Drive.
