The City of Dana Point Free Family Friendly Science Night is Thursday April 19 2018.
Dana Point Science Night will highlight Deep Sea Sharks.

Dana Point Science Night is at The Dana Point Community Center at 6:30pm till 8:00pm.

Discovering Deep Sea Sharks with Pacific Shark Research Center Researcher Kristin A. Walovich.

Did you know half of all known shark species live in the deep ocean?

Join in to learn about our local species of shark and how scientists discover and name new species.

Kristin studied deep sea sharks from Southern Africa for five years and named a new species of Ghost Shark in 2017.

She now works at the Dana Point Headlands Nature Interpretive Center.

Dana Point Science Nights allow you to learn about local ecosystems, California’s unique flora and fauna, and new science research in Orange County.

Presentations feature local and esteemed experts from the scientific community.

The Dana Point Community Center is located at 34052 Del Obispo Street.

Learn about current Science-related topics presented in a family-friendly format.

Generally, hands-on activities and/or displays will be present and geared towards children.
